DVSB(R)
Electronic three-phase meter / smart meter Metering System-2020
Three phase - 4 wire direct connected electricity meters of the DVSB series are manufactured in accordance with FNN specifications “Basiszähler” version 1.4. According to EnWG, they are used as measuring instruments together with a BSI Smart Meter Gateway as intelligent metering system (iMSys) or individually as so called “moderne Messeinrichtung” (mME) below the installation obligation for iMSys.
The three phase - 4 wire direct connected electricity meters of DZG are currently available in the direct measuring version for SLP measurement as type DVSB or for RLM measurement as type DVSBR. The corresponding metering technology for semi-direct measurement in the low-voltage grid is currently still under development. The DVSB series is supplemented by the DWSB version, which has a 1-phase approval (L3) for use as an alternating current meter. All other performance criteria comply with DVSB.
The DVSB is optionally available with a double tariff meter that can be controlled via terminals.
DVZE
DVZE - Electronic electricity meter / eHz design
Electronic three-phase meters of the DVZE series are manufactured in accordance with FNN specification sheet basic meter version 1.4. The DVZE is our basic meter for measuring stations with plug-in technology. According to EnWG, this meter is used as a measuring device together with a BSI Smart Meter Gateway as an intelligent measuring system (iMSys) or also individually as a modern measuring device (mME) below the installation obligation for iMSys. All variants of this meter type are phase-balancing The DVZE is an alternating current four-wire meter for direct connection. The DVZE series is supplemented by the DWZE version, which has a single-phase approval (L3). All other performance criteria correspond to the DVZE.

Mobile three-phase and alternating current meters
MDZ and MWZ are mobile intermediate meters for fast energy measurement, integrated in housings with protection class IP55.
These meters with CEE plug (5-pole or 3-pole) are ideal for campsites, boat docks, allotments, marinas, weekly markets, street festivals and the like, where electricity has to be billed but there are no permanently installed electricity meters.
Novelty from 2022: Mobile three-phase and alternating current meters with integrated LoRa communication
MDZ-L and MWZ-L with integrated LoRa communication expand the application possibilities of mobile meters with automated transmission of meter readings via the LoRaWAN network, e.g. for third party current delimitation. For this purpose, the communication module and an antenna are integrated next to the meter in the housing (also IP55) and parameterised ready for use.
Transparency software
In order to implement a central and thus dynamic tariffing of electricity consumption (EDL40 mode of our DVSE meter), it is legally necessary to provide the end customer with certified software for checking his electronic invoice.
By using our DVSE meter with signature and our software an unnoticed manipulation of the data on the way from the meter to the customer is impossible.
DZG LoRaConfig
Our configuration tool LoRa.Config offers you a user-friendly and uncomplicated solution for setting up communication for your smart metering systems via our LoRaMod communication modules.
With the help of this tool, you can not only read out the configuration of the modules, but also adjust it.
LMN-PlugIn
With the LMN-PlugIn DZG’s smart meter (moderne Messeinrichtung) DVS74 is upgraded to an intelligent metering system (iMsys). This communication adapter thus provides a suitable interface for a TLS adapter ("BAB") in accordance with VDE FNN Note for connection to the LMN interface of the Smart Meter Gateway (SMGW) in the meter.
The LMN PlugIn is characterized as follows:
- 2 LMN interfaces for connection to a Smart Meter Gateway or cascading of several intelligent metering systems (iMsys)
- Power supply of the LMN PlugIn via the LMN interface of the Smart Meter Gateway (SMGW)
- Encryption components according to BSI, which meet the special requirements according to §§ 21 and 22 of the Measuring Point Operating Act (MsbG), which can be specified in protection profiles and technical guidelines to guarantee data protection, data security and interoperability.
- Marking of the PlugIn according to MID and indication of the national type-examination certificate
- Declaration of conformity (DE) according to § 11 of the Measuring and Verification Ordinance (MessEV)
LW-PlugIn
Our LW PlugIn is used for wireless communicative local integration of a smart meter (modern Messeinrichtung). It is based on the Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) in the European frequency band from 863 MHz to 870 MHz and is suitable for transmissions of up to 10 km range, depending on the design and typological conditions.
The transparent transmission protocol enables the transmission of source- and destination-dependent data formats (e.g. DLMS, wMBus, ModBus).
It is not technically suitable for the transmission of BSI-secured information to a Smart Meter Gateway (SMGw) due to the limited data width or transmission rate.
The following application scenarios are possible:
- Simple peer-to-peer connection (1:1) between the electrical meter and a LoRa-capable target device (e.g. modem)
- Connection of several electronic meters (n:1) and a LoRa-capable target device (e.g. modem)
- Networking in an active LoRa-WAN network (e.g. via an active LoRa-WAN gateway)
RS485-PlugIn
The RS485 PlugIn enables wired local networking according to industry standards between measuring instruments or sensors which also have an RS485 interface.
Such devices could be among others:
- Smart meter (moderne Messeinrichtung)
- EDL21 electricity meter
- Electronic RLM meters
- Gas, water and heat meters
- GPRS or Ethernet modems
- Environmental sensors (e.g. smoke detectors)
Bluetooth-PlugIn
The Blutooth PlugIn provides a data transmission of the meter values over short distances to mobile devices. The standard used is Bluetooth 5.
The MEDABLUE app can be downloaded free of charge from the Google Playstore and the Apple App Store. Data transmission is encrypted. Decryption takes place via a QR code provided by the metering point operator, which must be scanned with the app.
With the app, end users can easily and comprehensibly view their meter values on their cell phone or tablet, read out historical consumption data or determine current consumption with little effort. If required, the meter data can be forwarded as a reading to their electricity supplier from the app.

The DC meter GSH01 is designed for DIN Rail and calculates the compensated energy by the line resistance:
- Direct connection meter for DIN rail
- Rated voltage: 150 - 1000V
- Reference current lref: 130A
- Maximum current lmax: 650A
