Metering systems of today's generation are able to communicate with each other. DZG communication modules ensure that meter data is transferred from an RS-485 or EIA-485 interface to a WAN (Wide Area Network) interface. With the aid of a universal modem, data from household, industrial and DIN rail meters are transmitted completely transparently. A communication interface can also be used for Smart Home applications, which offers starting points for a data collection system.
Furthermore, in its capacity as a data concentrator, the transmission of data on gas, water and heat consumption can also be implemented using multimedia. Of course, sub-metering is also possible, i.e. the consumption-based distribution of energy costs within a residential building. Further possibilities for which we would be pleased to advise you are the transmission of control signals and the installation of our communication modules either according to the piggyback principle (meter with terminal cover) or as DIN rail modules.
