Smart meter


Electricity metering today works in an intelligent way. With our electronic electricity meters (modern measuring devices), we are responding to the digital energy transition and are in line with the Forum Netztechnik/Netzbetrieb (Network Technology/Network Operation Forum) and the FNN specifications.

The new smart meters have numerous advantages over the old electromechanical meters: for example, higher measuring accuracy, enhanced protection against manipulation, lower power consumption and self-monitoring.

The modern light measuring devices from DZG-Metering in the 3Hz household meter design, which can be upgraded to an intelligent measuring system using a retrofittable LMN interface, meet the requirements of the FNN specifications in version 1.4 for three-phase and single-phase connections.

Important note for end consumers: The electricity meter is the property of your network operator. Please contact them directly if you have any further questions about your electricity meter and a functional upgrade.

 

DVS76 / DWS76

Three phase electronic electricity meter

Electricity meter for active consumption measurement in accordance with §29(3) and §61(3) of the Measuring Point Operating Act (MsbG) of 29.08.2016, as well as FNN - Specifications “Basiszähler Funktionale Merkmale” version 1.4. This meter can be upgraded to an intelligent metering system (iMSys) according to §21(1) MsbG by means of a pluggable LMN interface. The DWS76 differs from the DVS76 by the extension to the 1-phase approval for use as an alternating current meter (AC meter). Here an optional factory configuration of up to three phases for L1, L2 and L3 each can be carried out on delivery. Compared to the DVS74, the DVS76 is limited to a maximum of 60 A. It is equipped with cage clamp terminals. All variants of this meter type work with phase balancing. The meter can also be read without the device being connected to the 3x230V/400V mains voltage. The required external power supply can be generated via a battery source (e.g. a power pack) or a USB interface (e.g. the DVS76 programming adapter). Furthermore, this meter has a wired RS485 interface for reading the meter data. This is available until a plug-in is connected. Alternative data interfaces extend its function and make the meter interesting for the suppliers' sales departments.

The DVS76 is optionally available with various terminal cover versions:

  • Standard terminal cover (L 100 mm, free space 50 mm)
  • Long terminal cover (L 162 mm, free space 120 mm)
  • Middle terminal cover (L 120 mm, free space 80 mm)
  • Long terminal cover punched out (length 162 mm, clearance 120 mm, for piggyback mounting of additional devices)
  • DIN rail terminal cover with module cover (e.g. for the use of a Smart Meter Gateway)

If required, the optional customer interface (flashlight function) can be deactivated at the factory so that only the operating button of the mater can be used to access the historical data.

 

WS76

Single Phase Electronic Electricity Meter.

Legally compliant electricity meter for active consumption measurement in accordance with §29(3) and §61(3) of the Measuring Point Operation Act (MsbG), as well as FNN specifications“Basiszähler Funktionale Merkmale” version 1.4. This meter can be upgraded to an intelligent metering system (iMSys) in accordance with §21(1) MsbG using a pluggable LMN interface. Alternative data interfaces extend its function and make the meter interesting for the suppliers' sales departments.

The meter is equipped with cage clamp terminals for use up to max. 60 A. The WS76 is optionally available with three different terminal cover versions:

  • Standard terminal cover (length 90 mm, clearance 40 mm)
  • Short terminal cover (length 50 mm, clearance 0 mm)
  • Long terminal cover (length 135 mm, clearance 120 mm)

DVS74 / DWS74
